Carter Shanklin is a Director of Product Management at Hortonworks and focuses on Hadoop data interfaces, including Hive, Pig, and HBase. Before joining Hortonworks, Carter was product manager for VMware's in-memory databases, SQLFire and GemFire. Carter holds an M.S. in mathematics from George Mason University.
